Have any of you installed that beauty yet?

Can you make any comments about the latch? How strong does it look to you all? I love the hood but would hate to drill it for hoodpins

Haven't installed it yet, but I am picking it up this Sunday and probably will install it right after I it home. I don't like hood pins, but if my hood wobbles too much at high speeds then I might install it so it doesn't flip open and break my windshield.

I suggest these for hood latches.

You gotta do what you gotta do if you don't want your hood to fly off. Are these hoods dry carbon fiber or wet carbon fiber?

Haha, that's true. I've been wondering the same thing actually. Hopefully someone can chime in with the answer.

They are most likely wet carbon fiber. Dry carbon fiber would be a lot lighter and a lot more expensive. You can also tell by the small air bubbles. I could be wrong, though.

Dry carbon fiber can be shiny too. If you put clear coat on it.
