If they are flexes, no matter how low or high you make the bracket, the suspension travel should be the same. Am I correct in saying this?

With the Flex kit for my STI you could lower the shock in its mounting bracket which does not affect travel, so yes in terms of that adjustment. However, they did have the usual adjustment that would affect suspension travel, with the rear being that low, I assume both are lowered to some degree.

It is always a good thing to drive the car around for a day or two atleast and play with the height to get a rough idea of where you want the car to sit. Coilover springs do not really settle as a normal spring would. Atleast in my experience with them.

However, when it comes time for corner weight and alignment, you want to be sure the car is at a height you can live with, otherwise it is a lot of money down the tubes. Corner weighting FTMFW!

Edit- BTW, Nice car man

I'm curios as to whether or not the user preadjusted them. I hope my Flex's (which are yet to be installed) aren't like that from the factory. Any Flex's users have any damper body measurements for reference?

wow...thats way too low in the back bro....bring it up a little bit cause that set-up like that may look cool and all but when you go to the track or do any autox, you could actually damage your car.

When we set mine up, and did my corner balance and alignment, I know that we used Tein's recomendataions as a starting place, and then did minor adjustments to the cars ride height.

you can find the pics by doing a serch on my screen name.

thanks,

caelin~

yeah like I said, my friend and I did them the other day. I'm riding around now to get the feel for them and car is actually level. I've already decided to raise the rear a little more before I get the alignment and such.

As for specs, they are just the flex kit not the monos .... sorry should have worded my title different.. but I got them at cvrmotorsports.com on sale for about 1400 shipped. 16 way dampen, pillowball mounts, and castor camber adjustments.

IMO I love the suspension, obvious I need a little more tuning done on it but i am very happy with everything. They were very easy to install and look great on the car.

Thanks for everybodys comments
Have a great one

cheers

contrats on getting some coilovers. How's the ride? I've heard that they are somewhat bouncy while driving on the streets.

It does look somewhat awkward with the rear covering the entire tire and partially the upper portion of the rim. I personally think it looks great when the tires are slightly tucked under the fender all around.

If i saw your car driving around like that i would think something is wrong with your suspension in the rear. Something like a blown strut or something.

Anyways, have fun and update us.
