HELP! How to repair carbon fiber front lip?

i was a moron today and kinda scuffed my new jdp carbon fiber front lip. The clear coat is cracked a little bit on the front of the lip. Is there anything I can do to repair or at least make it look better? Thanks for any advice1

The only thing you can really do it sand it and paint it all black. Not much you can do to repair carbon fiber.

There is a way to over it up, but it is really hard to do and does not come out as shinny as the original. You need to sand down the area and remove everything down to the carbon fiber, or as close as you can get. Tape off the are and then fill in the area with resin. The resin is the kind you get at Autozone made by Bondo, not the kind at Home Depot becasue it will dry clear. It will not look the same but will not be as bold as it is now. I did this to my lip after a Myrtle Beach incident. Personally I am going to get another one becasue it still looks like crap. I kept it to get through the winder. Plus mine a cracked everywhere!

if it hasnt actually splintered or cracked the carbon fiber the entire lip could be sanded and re-cleared but it would cost a mint.

Did you actually crack the CF or just scuff it. CF actually can be fixed, i Do it all the time on Aircraft. If its just scuffed then all you really need to do first take it off, sand down the area to the CF, clean the area with some isopropyl alcohol really good, the area should be smooth and flat now. Its also a good idea to sand the entire area so you have a clean base to spray on. Once cleaned and prepped lay about 3-4 light coats of clear coat...or untill smooth and glossy again

one sample of where to get..but im sure u can get some at walmart too

you dont have to use resin, just use clear paint.. paint and sand it to level with the current layer of resin on there. Or just leave it like that, scuffs make ure car look hard!

If it's not cracked, clear coating the lip would be your best bet.

if the crack is not that deep or big, I wonder if you can use epoxy to fill it and buff it out
