yea dude that blows and i know how you feel! got my evo8 like 2 months ago and so far the hood and the entire right side has been key'd some one punched and dented the trunk and my windsheild smashed. i'm like you no enemies, peaceful guy, it's just the F***ing haters!

Good question -- why is the Evo singled out? It can't only be wealth, because then BMWs and Lexuses would be hit as well and they're not nearly as often. My guess is that it's some twisted sense of envy and possibly something against the tuner "culture" or following. Some people are just plain evil -- they actually derive pleasure from inflicting pain on others. And they know how much time, cost, blood and tears go into these cars, so a**holes must get a particular kick out of damaging what is likely to be a prized possession to the owner. 
Ouch man that really sucks. Sorry to hear that, some people are just plain *******s.
This is why I never park far away. I fought with this decision when I first got the car, but I decided that I think the risk of a few door dings or scratches is worth taking over having your car stand out to some douchebags who decide to take a key or a rock to your car b/c of where you park it.
