Good question -- why is the Evo singled out? It can't only be wealth, because then BMWs and Lexuses would be hit as well and they're not nearly as often. My guess is that it's some twisted sense of envy and possibly something against the tuner "culture" or following. Some people are just plain evil -- they actually derive pleasure from inflicting pain on others. And they know how much time, cost, blood and tears go into these cars, so a**holes must get a particular kick out of damaging what is likely to be a prized possession to the owner. 
import fans normally hate on "real" imports. ex. Evo, supra, STi, Z... etc im sure they get the same treatment as we do. Evos are not singled out.

I've lost faith a long time ago. People these days are ignorant and make me sick. They destroy things that they don't or cannot have. It's hard to find nice, honest, genuine people.

F*** Man!!! that sucks!!! i feel your pain, i got hated on when i first got my IX (egged) but not near as painful as what happend to you..it seems to happen alot nowadays, we Evo guys gotta stick together and keep an eye on one anothers rides! Good luck on gettin' it fixed.
Hey, I hope you're right. It was just a thought based on the experiences of two sets of friends. I have a couple friends who live in IL, one owns a GG IX and the other a 350Z. The IX has been vandalized twice in one year, the Z hasn't been touched during the same time period (and they're both daily drivers who live in the same neighborhood). Two other buddies live in CA near San Jose. One has a WW IX and the other an STI. The IX has been keyed once and intentionally dented in the passenger door, while the STI just has some dings from mindless parkers.
This is far from a reliable statistic, just personal observation.

well i think i had it the worst byfar, i had my car for a total of 3 days, 55 miles on it, got rear ended by a lady doin 30 mph, whole *** end and 2 quarter panels later, i got it back on the road, went to the mall to see a movie, huge key marks down the side of it, that gets fixed, last week i went to the gym and come to find out there is a white old pieace of **** buick lesabre parked likea foot away from my car there is a huge door ding like they just slung that **** open, well it was obvious it was them i compaired as if their door was opening and it lined up with the mark on my door, well my adrenaline was pumped up from workin out so i was pissed off and just started kickin the hell out of it, but then i thought later that was pointless the car was a POS, its just carelss people and about 3 days ago at the gym i got a spark to park 20 cars away from everyone then i come out to see this jacked up and riced out bunch of kids in ford ranger parked right next do me real close needless to say they moved the truck !!
