Yeah, single side hood stand+CF hood don't really go along.

I like what you did here. But...... I just checked out the hood damper on ebay you were talking about and while they are charging $69 dollars for theirs they also include two dampers. I am not trying to put you down on this, just puting it out there.

So the logic is to add weight by removing the stock alum. hood, replacing it with a heavier cf piece. Then add even more weight with this autozone gadget.
i get it now.

I'm not trying to advertise for redline but their product is awesome, as stated above they are cheap ($69) compare to TEIN and the other brands. It comes with everything including instructions, all you need is a rivet gun, ruler , marker and masking tape. Took about 30 mins to do one side an hour to do the whole thing. I like the hood shocks because my hood flexes to one side when its propped with the stock rod, the flexing for a long period of time may cause cracks on the clear resin.

I don't know why someone would not want this or a similar type IMHO the car should have come with this. for me my car sits in the garage backed in with the front right up against the garage door. I have to pop the hood then walk to the other side of the car around the back,to prop the hood up. Or open my garage door -with the stock hood prop. with this or a redline one which I have, I can open it from any side + it looks cool + it interferes less when I am under the hood
