hood shock for how much?!?!
Hood shock write-up and for a good price.
so i was surfing the web one day and found hood shocks for my evo but it cost me 109 dollars on ebay and i was like screw that so i decided to make my own and well let me tell you im happy with the end product and im happy that i saved myself 90 bucks pics will be up soon if anyone is interested in seeing my fine work

well this was like a 2 hour job, first i had gone to the local auto zone and purchased a 21" shock and stoll some hardwear from one of the bigger shocks, a simple little ball joint like hardwear. then i went home to create my brackets, I had used a peice of 1/8" thick metal laying in my garage and bent it to my specs and drill my holes then painted them and rivited it in after marking where the best location of the shock on the hood and shcok tower so the hood would close correctly. and if anyone is interested and likes my design i could make you guys kits for 50 +shipping

For the kits your selling I would recommend some nice aluminum angle, neatly cut. Customers wont be happy when there painted steel brackets rust and for $50 I would expect something that wont rust on me and will have a nice finish and aluminum angle is the ticket and its not that expensive.
just my .02, but good job for a nice diy project....but to market it, I would want to see aluminum brackets

Well for those who do not own CF hood, you would never know that you would need a device like this.... My CF hood is soo light that when I lift it up at car shows, it angles to one side, hence the need for these shocks on both sides, so that the hood is even on both sides.
