3-m painter's tape FEEDBACKS PLEASE

hi
for the once out there have use 3m painter's tape as their rock chip protection for long drives!!!
does it leave anything after a long drive ,or does it take some paint with it when removeing it !!!
please let me know because i'm faceing a 21 hour drive !!!

It shouldn't....if you're really worried, get the blue painters tape for delicate surfaces...

i know for the blue one they have 3 kinds which is
3 day removel
14 day removel
60 day removel
don't know if i should try !!!
please give me a hand,because i really don't want rock chips all over the car after the long drive!!!

You'll be fine...I drove to AZ and stayed for three days and came back. No Residue!!! Read the label it'll say something like 10days

yeah i would also put maybe two layers of painters tape but i wouldnt go nuts and cover the whole bumper. i would just hit a few areas that i know will get hit hard w/ bugs/debris (side mirrors, lip, certain sections of the bumper, front of roof)

3M also makes some type of clear product that can be applied to the front of your car to protect against chips/rocks/scratches, etc. I just got my windows tinted and they had a little display about this stuff. Sorry that I don't remember what it was called. Just searched 3M's site and couldn't find it. But, it is out there.

but seriously, if you dont mind looking like a fool do it..

i take it off when i go fishing since im driving on a unpaved rocky road for 3-4 miles

remove bumper? wat a smart idea lol. a nice hole in the fmic and radiator will really improve ur 21 hr trip. even at minimum, your fmic fins will be fudged for sure

oh and its illegal.
