Nu Finish Car Polish

I just wanted to make a thread about Nu Finish products and see what everyone's opinions were. I used their car polish today and it works great! It's easy to apply and leaves a great gloss. I'm not a detailing expert or anything but I think Nu Finish works pretty good, and for the price also.

I know everyone uses Meguiar's and Mothers, how would Nu Finish compare?

Nu Finish works great!! I have not used it on my Evo but i did use it on my old altima and it worked better than Turtle Wax and a couple of other waxes I used .

Iam now using Meguiar's on my Evo but I think Iam going to switch to Nu Finish.

If you had a 1984 Camaro I'd be cool and whatnot, but it's an inferior product.

The once a year car polish...FTW! 52 washes in heavy detergents and the water still beads! LOL

That stuff is crap. I would use Klasse or Liquid Glass but not Nu-Finish.

Do you have any factual information to why Nu Finish is crap? Or is this just an opinion?

It's sold at Pepboys...'nuff said. It has fillers and adds no depth or clarity to paint.

All the other top car cleaners/waxes/polishes are sold there, in addition to autozone and advance auto. So downgrading a product just because of where it's sold doesn't make sense.

I had no idea it had fillers, thanks for the info. Maybe it will "fill" my scratches

Is there any reason to not nufinish and then drop a coat of some sweet carnuba on top for you depth and clarity?

....I wonder if the carnuba could "stick"

No, only 10+ years of detailing experiance. If the Nu-Finish doesn't fill all the swirls just try the colored wax

Since it's a polish, doesn't that mean that it makes the car shiny but doesn't actually protect it?

Shouldn't you follow up with a wax?
