Question JDM Rear Bumper and Exhuast sticking out???

I'm looking to get a JDM IX Rear Bumper for my WW Evo VIII. I have a vishnu signature turbo back exhaust and was wondering if this exhaust would work with the rear bumper or if it will look stupid or stick out to far. If anyone has a picture of this or input please share. Thanks -Matt

It will stick out about 1-2 inches. have a muffler shop shorten it.

Stock sticks out ok. It doesn't quite meet the edge of the USDM bumper so you are ok..

Thread poster, I have seen this exhaust in person shortened, made me want to buy it. Get the bumper, then get it shortened and you will be happy. I will see if I can find a picture for you, he is local to me here in NorCal...

Like I said, it looks great. Do it.

Installation of the bumper?

If so, it was really easy. It was included in the buying price. And a guy met me there to buy my stock bumper, and my stock 9 wheels. It was really easy.

In all seriousness it looked easy from what I saw. You remove the tails, some trunk lining. I think for most people the hurdle is the rivet gun. Other than that it seemed pretty straight forward...

The name of the guy with it is on here. He goes by BigEd925 on here. I just found his photobucket, but he has a different exhaust on there. So you might want to PM him about it...

I have the Perrin catback along with JDM IX rear on my car. I'm pretty sure the Vishnu and Perrin are the same catbacks except Vishnu uses clamps.

It was impossible to install because the Magnaflow muffer section was hitting against the diffuser fins. No way to put on the exhaust unless I wanted it to crush against the bumper then have it melt from the heat.

The piping behind the muffler had to be cut to make it fit with the bumper. It cost me $50 at a local muffler shop. Hope this helps.

Here are a few pictures of my car with our exhaust on it that is designed to work with the JDM rear bumper. We offer this only in the Vband design which is $1075. It is not available with the highflow cat so it would be a catless system. The muffler is actually placed in the middle of the car where the cat normally is.

The tip is a straight angle cut tip.

Our system is the lightest stainless steel system on the market, TRUE full 3" design, made of 304 stainless steel and is the highest horsepower producing exhaust available for the evolution.
