Rexspeed Vortex Generator color match

Guys, I just installed my Rexspeed Vortex Generator and it is not matching the color of the car at all!!

I have a "2006 Wicked White IX" and I ordered the Wicked White vortex generator, but it is so much whiter than the rest of the car, I just can't believe that my car has faded so much in 1 year that it would look that off.

I'm thinking of taking it off and getting a CF one, but I hate to waste money like that

Maybe Rexspeed sent me Weightless White instead??

Does anyone know where I can get a good deal on a CF version?

crap! is there anyway to fix this, or do I have to get it repainted? I'd hate to get it repainted and not have it match still.

Also, what is the safest way to remove the VG, since the 3M tape is on pretty tight?

Mine didn't match either. I took it off. Going to have to have it painted. Had I of know this I would of went OEM and not had to paint that.

I used fishing line, goo gone, and some strength to get my VG off the roof.

Man I'm pissed at rexspeed, I would have gotten OEM too!

I thought of the exact same way of getting it off, I was scared about screwing up the finish but I think the fishing line will do the trick

It's really amazing how well EVOM works, I post and people at once have helpful responses.

Thanks Guys for the help!

Man I was kinda bummed and angry at rexspeed for the mismatched color, but they really steped up quick. AWESOME customer service!! Here is a PM from Derek at Rexspeed.

Well when I pmed him when I got mine a couple months ago he said it was that my car faded which sounds like he told you also.

Wish he would have realized it then that they were painted wrong.

We matched the paint off a Evo 9 tow hook cover because at the time we didnt have the paint code. For some reason it matched fine with other wicked white evos but some customers said it was off color...its been a headache for us as well. BTW I replied to your pm and will send you a free replacement.

Thanks

Rexpeed FTW!

If you want to remove your VG, leave your car in the sun for 30 mins or so to make the tape softer. Then use fishing line or dental floss and remove it.
