Help with removing scratches

I been using my pc orbital for some time to do my regular 3 step clean, polish, wax system on my car. But im having trouble removing deep scratches or at least try to make them not as noticable if its too deep. Can someone recommend me some good abrasive pads I can use for just scratches? Also will 3m rubbing compound work better than scratch-x?

Rubbing compound will usually work better than scratch-x cuz it is just more powerfull.

Obviously try the lighter stuff first and then step up to the rubbing compound using first by hand and then the orbital.

If that don't work, then you might want to go to a shop
