And to me it looks like the front fenders are wide but the rears are not.

yes ! they are making the whole new front EVO 9 widebody bumper right now, they said it should be ready in two months. the sales guy also said the first kit will be going to Mitsubishi Corp. for their SEMA Show EVO !

 

Who's / What's your source for this information?

I e-mailed APR a while back and was told they had no plans for an EVO IX Widebody Front Bumper.

I emailed APR also. They were "considering" it. Apparently they respond any way they feel like
That would be AWESOME. That's definitely a photochop however, and doesn't even look widebodied.

I'm savin up now, if they actually make this widebody

 

My friend works down the street from them, he has a G35 and he goes down there sometime after work to check out their widebody G35, last week I went with him to check out that G and saw the mockup widebody 9 front bumper sitting next to the red widebody EVO 8 they have, I ask one of the guy work there and he told me the new design 9 widebody front bumper will be ready in 2 months, he also mentions this was Mitsubishi Corp's idea for the SEMA Show car, they weren't gonna do the 9 till Mitsubishi gave them the okay last month.

 

If this is true, I can't wait!
