Hit by debris, help!

So on my brand new Evo 9 (600 mi), I was driving and a plastic piece of junk flew out of a pickup and hit the side of my car. It hit the pillar between the front and back driver's side windows. I noticed that these pieces are not painted, but rather have a black adhesive coating that looks a little like electrical tape. This coating was damaged obviously. Where can I get replacement coating? Is it something generic I would snag from an auto part store and cut myself, or is it available pre-cut from Mitsubishi (or both)? Thanks!

one option is CF pillars from Rexspeed. They will hide the damage and will look great

You guys rock, thanks for the advice. Found the pillars online and they look tight. BTW I had a little trouble finding the website because it is "Rexpeed" (no "s"). Oh yeah looks like TeK had it right. Oh well, nothing a little google diving could not solve; thanks again.

They're adhesive and stick on the pillar. I have the same thing on my car.

My TB Evo has those parts painted the same color as the car so my best guess is that it is that way on all Evos. So, you could remove the vinyl coating and expose the paint all around the door frame. I think this would look great on darker colors but probably not lighter colors.
