I have an 06 IX, its white, and im lookin for something different. Should i paint the hood black or not? thanks

No.. Thats what a carbon hood is for! If you cant pay 500-800 for a hood than dont waste 250 to paint it black and get asked what happened to your hood and where you in an accident!!

 

do it!....you can always repaint if if you dont like the new color.

i wouldnt do just the hood...if your going for a black look,then two-tone it..hood,roof,trunk,pillar,fender,etc...thats what i did

no, get a cf hood if you just want the two tone with your hood

 

contrast is key....but carbon fiber looks better than a just painted black... in my opinion.

 

I like clean glossy black hoods on a nice white car. I think a sweet black hood on a Evo makes it very aggressive if the rest of the car is done right.

 

if you want just the hood...go CF...if you want the gloss black that bad do the two tone look..

 

well it would only cost me the money for paint, as i have a friend who helped me paint my other car, i figure thats cheaper than $500+ for a carbon fiber hood that could crack/break. but thank you for all the input, keep it coming, still no decision yet
