Yea you have a point about some drivers bresking into 12's, but i don't know about mid 12's and have heard the jdm evo are rumored to be putting out 320hp Maybe it is the lack of the AYC.

the same rumor is going on about ours because of the high dyno numbers of the stock IX's. you're right about the mid 12's thing...that was an 07 EVO. they are faster than the 06's were, JDM or USDM

12.6... that's nearly a second faster than AUSDM Evo IX's standard 1/4mile time... we do ~13.4

there is a 6speed version of the RS MR, or at least there used to be. i've seen races between the two to see which was faster. the 6speed was. now if that was discontinued in 06, i don't know, but the EVO 8 RS MR was offered with either 5speed or 6speed

Are my eyes deceiving me or does that STi have a black interior? The smurf blue interior of US STis was one of the main things that pulled me to the Evo instead. Ah well, no regrets.

Edit the literage? The JDM STi's in general were always 2L except the 22B which if I remember was 2.2L. The 2.5L was introduced for USDM.

ODub...you have to think about weight in the comparision as well. I believe the USDM car is heavier than the JDM one but don't quote me on that .

i don't think he was commenting on the 2L part of the equation. he was probably saying something about the I4 part. the STi is a flat 4, not inline 4
