EVO X vids
this is not a big deal.... u either like drivn a manual or u dont..... who really cares what other auto makers do. i love driving a manual its just what i prefer. i'm sure if the problem was being able to afford the car we wouldnt have evo's now would we. people that love the car and cant drive a manual now can own one. i've never been impressed by any automatic (just plant your foot and go, so exciting). i'll be gettin the evo x as a manual just because thats what i prefer, regardless of what technology or logic may prove about the new transmission. so the both of u can drop the issue some people like the change for whatever reason and some of us dont.... if some how by then i get tired of driving a stick i'd love to know that i can still get an evo... oh and the car does have 2 clutches just has no clutch pedal if you're both tryin to be specific
The bottom line is that it shifts faster and more consistently than any human. Faster and more consistent means you are faster down the quarter mile and faster around a race circuit. No matter how hard you try, you will never shift as fast as a automated sequential manual transmission.
If you have a race with two equal cars and each is driven by two equal drivers, but the only difference is that one car has a standard manual and one car has a SST/DSG. The one with a semi automatic will win the race, because it will be shifting faster and more consistently.
Hmm I see two sides to this. I like driving a manual...it makes me feel as if I'm doing more with the car instead of being a driver. But I also like the idea of the paddle shifter. It gives you the same control, but will do the job a lot faster than you can.
So I think both of you have wasted enough space on this thread. Each to their own. Back on topic!

The links no longer work. Youtube says that Mitsu had them pulled due to copyright. If anyone has a mirror to the videos please post it so more people can see what's up.
Just read the damn article and do some research on your own to see how a SST/DSG transmission is superior to a standard manual transmission.

I dont wanna learn about it, I would rather spend time driving my car and having fun with it. I would take a 12 second stick over an 11 second automatic anyday just for the simple fact that I could say I earned my time instead of letting my car earn my time, there is a true skill to driving a stick and you obviously havent learned it and wont if u drive an auto
+1. I really don't care to get involved in this "Manual or Automatic" fight. I just want to see the damn video! Anyone?
Haha you are soo gay, I take pride in my car, I enjoy driving and shifting my car and not letting it shift for me, I dont care if its faster, mine is more fun. If you learned how to drive your car then you wouldnt have a problem with the clutch, and in that case go ahead, get the auto, leave the stick to a true enthusiest.

if u have never drove a car with the paddle shifters please stop commenting, its efin fun.
