wow, i could only imagine the shipping.

i would love to trade with you!

i hope you dont mind the hole through the hood and the giant dents on the front edges. would you like a cracked windshield? perhaps an intercooler with a stick poking through it? if you can find the side view mirrror..... its yours to keep!

it was an even match between the two. you should see what the fence looked like!

Just stick with your stock bumper notice that the evo 8's hood has a line in the middle and the 7 doesnt. Also the 7 has more sharper edges than the 8. You might have to change the front bumper if you want to go through with this.

The the lines of the 8 hood doesn't line up with the 7 bumper lines. The crash bar does need to be trimmed to fit the bumper. Other than that, it bolts right up. I was gonna post a pic but it's not working for some reason.

the lead time on the parts was too long. i have to replace both the hood and bumper, but i cant wait two months to get it

the official word is the only things you need to change is the hood and front bumper.

i love the look, i probably could have found the front bumper, but the hood.......
thats another story. i thought i would be able to use the vis carbon vii hood, but they are out of stock on them.

i am going with a ix front bumper and a chargespeed frp hood.

note the branch going through the intercooler all the way to the left on the picture of the front bumper.

also, the hole going through the hood. yes, that is a hole.

... i've done the full front conversion. But couldn't get the hood quite right

If you have unlimited funds and patience go for it.

No need to replace fenders or headlights.

Need to replace hood front bumper, and trim the bumper to fit US crash beam.

Thats all. However, the hood is damn near impossible to source. Here were the options I was stuck with.

Pay close to 900 for a jdm nice fitting hood, pay z1auto 1400 shipped for an oem one, or buy it from seibon for 500. For the record, both seibon and vis no longer makes those hoods. Seibon assured me that they were sellin me the absolute last one. Unless they lied.. who knows. I could never quite get the hood to fit right so i traded it to jdmgraphitemr for his modded evo VIII setup. That guy seems to have unlimited funds so he shuold finish that project off real well.

It will bolt on but it you will have to change the front bumper too. The 8 and 9 hoods are quite pointed and the 7 is quite flat

Here is mine without the lip. It was getting painted at the time. Notice how he lines of the hood don't match up with the 7 bumper.
