How do you polish after you wax...do you mean remove the wax? Polishing involves removing oxidation, light scratches, and mainly swirl marks from the paint.

To the thread starter, I've only used the car wash because I found it cheap at Costco and it's consistency is close to gold class (which is a great benchmark), but required abuot twice as much product to match lubricity gold class had to offer at a an x amount. The rest of the products are a waste to even look at.

Another quick question... when i was use Meguairs NXT Liquid Wax, Can i wax the hole car at once then wipe off or should i wax in portions? and I dont need a buffer to wax right?
No you don't need a porter cable to wax. I just take some on the applicator pad and go back and forth in sections on the car. Don't put the wax on in swirls. That is how you get swirls. I use two microfiber towels. One is to wipe the wax off and the other one is to go over the area I just waxed to get anything that I missed off. Make sure you keep turning your microfiber towel in sections too. Don't keep using the same side.

Yeah I just meant that I take the wax off.

that is what i have done... polish then wax... assuming that is correct. can you use ice ppolish then wax on top or does the ice polish go on by itself entirely?

Process looks good, but you need to dry the car and THEN clay bar. The water doesnt offer enough lubrication to and the clay will usually bind up on the paint. That is with a conventional clay bar though. With the liquid clay im not 100% sure.

Also look up Mitchubishi's work here on the forums. Hes posted before and after pics of some of his customers cars and his work is amazing. Hes been helping me out alot as well with amazing results.

ice 'wax' has this oily residue that smudges and takes alot of elbow grease to polish out. i would not recommend it for black cars as it does nothing to create a deep shine. it just gives alil artificial shine that doesnt last nearly as long as wax or protect nearly as much.

to be honest i use it, but only on my daily driver civic or my parents car. my evo gets the royal treatment.

Well i tested out the process on my sisters car and i found out that the wax dries pretty darn fast and it is a pain to wipe off afterwards when it is there for too long... the hood looked kinda wierd up close, but far away it was pretty!
I prob put too much wax on... i dont know what a light coat of wax looks like!!

I dried the car and then used the Liquid Clay Bar... i dont know how it suppose to look.. but it dried kinda fast... so maybe ill have my car wet and see if thats better.

I would have taken pictures so i could get feedback on what i did wrong... but i have no camera
It didnt look bad at all... it had that nice shiney / wet look but at certain angles you can see very few wax blotches in some areas.

Note: I did it all in 2 hours cuz i was rushing myself (had to go to school)

Hope i dont make my car look wierd with blotches of wax
