Because of the molding process, dry carbon fiber cost more to produce than wet carbon fiber usually up to 2-3 times more. Dry carbon is also much lighter and stronger hence why only F1 cars use them.
that's a load of crap. plenty of car makers use dry carbon in production vehicles. GT-R R34 Z-Tune for one. just about the entire front end was dry carbon, along with structural braces, underhood brace panels, and a load of other parts. the new vette Z06 has carbon body panels, just like ferrari's, lambo's, and other exotics. given the places they use them, and the function of the parts, i seriously doubt it's anything but dry carbon. dry carbon is more expensive, but it's not like platinum or anything.

nice try though. get everybody believing that only F1 can afford this stuff so when you release the ungodly high prices, we'll think we're getting the best deal anyone's ever gotten on anything.

i'm sorry if that sounded a little rough, but i just hate missinformation. anyway, i actually am very interested in carbon interior parts...door panels, etc. i am especially interested in a carbon headliner because it is almost impossible to clean the stock one.

okay, that sounds better. so what about that carbon headliner? and while you're at it, carbon pillars? i just hate having to clean that crap because it just seems to suck up all the dirt. a carbon headliner would be soooo much cleaner. just wipe it down and be done with it. let me know please
