Got Some New Meats On! (Advan A-048)
honestly, i just found an incredible deal on these tires that I just couldn't pass up. No other reason for buying them than that lol..
I would like to take the car to a roadcourse, but with the limited openings we have here, and my busy schedule, I'm not seeing hitting the track anytime soon.

The falkens were fantastic tires as well, and are actually up for sale now, with only 6500 miles or so on them.
Trending Topics
a) i've only had about 20mins of driving on them so far.
b) my car just IS loud.. lol with the titanium catback, no resonators, external-dump wastegate, and big turbo it kinda makes it hard to tell if the tires are loud lol.
But I'll try and keep an ear open for the tires in the next few days. But making turns w/these tires is unbelievable, they grip like a **** lol...
Nice looking car!
I've run those same tires in 285/30/18 on my EVO. They are as grippy as they come unless you go to a semi-slick like the Kumho V710 or Hoosier A6/R6, and they will last a lot longer that the Kumho or Hoosier. When they get warm they do pick up a lot of road grime (sand, stones, etc) and will basically sand blast your fenders over time.
In order of performance of what I've run in 285/30/18 on my car are:
Advan Neova < Advan A046 < Kumho V710 < Hoosier A6
with a life expectancy that is the opposite of that. They all cost within ~$50 of eachother.

EVOlutionary, I'm thinking of running the A048 as a daily tire (to replace the ADVAN Sport ones that I have on now), and I do approximatly 25,000 km per year. NOt much rain hereabouts, but I will probably have to drive nice and slow in the wet with these
What are your thoughts on the durability of the A048s? I don't mind loud, given that I'm running a full 3" turboback on an RS anyway...

Hey thats good info! I appreciate it very much
I expect them to last less than 1/2 of what the stock A046 tires last.
Also, because they are a softer race compound they will heat cycle out much quicker. They will grip like hell at first, but then slowly get harder and harder as they get more heat cycles in them. Even at the end of their life, though, I expect them to have more grip than the stock tires.
The only way I would run them as street tires is if I was rich and had to drive the mountains or canyons to work every day.
