The coolest pics I've taken - EVO before the Storm
such a sick picture.... it sucks that cheesy and corny photoshop effects killed this look. the real deal, like your image would have been 100x sicker if cheesy filters didnt kill the lightning ordeal.
props to you man, looks tight!

I went out north of Silver beach to this little access point to the north pier on Lake Michigan right before the storm hit here last night. The shutter was set to stay open for 64 seconds and this is what i wound up with. I know these arent the best quality pictures but they look really neat to me.

!!!!!!
I've always assumed that if you pointed the camera in the right direction and left the shutter open a while you could catch some lightning, I just never tried it.
The pics look very nice man.

If you shot that in raw (not jpg) on your camera, you should make some HDR versions (http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/). You could really increase the exposure on the evo to bring out the details but leave the background darker like the ones you used photoshop on. Opening up the dynamic range on the shots would take some time but would look really sweet.
