The coolest pics I've taken - EVO before the Storm
Holy batman!
I thought I was insane with my buddy out in a park on a pier near delaware river in the storm taking pics of our rx-8's ( yes, Im stuck with a Rx8 till I finish my evo
)and we had lightning shots of bolts hitting probably half a mile from us, but we still felt the shock from them.
You're insane.
How do I set shutter speed? :O I wanna do this on my D40 lol.

on the D40 i generally go to manual mode (M on the dial) and use the scroll wheel to go to 30 seconds, that's the max on the 40, unless you buy a remote, if you do that ($5 on ebay) you can go to "bulb" and change the settings to use the remote instead of the button to take a picture, one click of the remote, shutter opens, second click of remote, shutter closes, take a stop watch or just a watch with a seconds hand and time your shutter exposure. Everything i have learned was through trial and error.
