Asking out of ignorance as to what professional detailers provide. I know when I detail my cars it looks similar to those pics (of course we all know the pics just aren't capturing everything), but once it rains on the car a number of times and the wax wears down I can see my damaged paint again. So I love my cleaned and waxed car for all of a couple weeks and then it's back to the same blah paint again.
Paint correction, not paint covering

A hardcore detail in Cali can go as much as $1500....

When the work is of this calibur, it's REQUIRED to charge that amount believe it or not. I've spent over 16 hours on a car once....

I will, just in "Other Cars" because most details are not Evos....and you might get crap (especially from Mods) since this is "EVO show and shine" blah blah blah....

I still want a detailing subforum on here.

Hey MartinD, can you give me a recommendation for a buffer? I do my own detailing, and can't figure out what kind of buffer to get. I've asked a bunch of people, but everyone is giving me half *** answers.

I have heard of some people $75-100/hr for paint correction.

You really need a Rotary to correct paint, although a Porter Cable or Ultimate Detailing Machine can work wonders on some vehicles. If you do any sort of wetsand, or heavy correction a rotary is NEEDED.
