CBRD- new project 2.3.... ;)
If it were up for a vote, mine would be for aluminum.
It can be trimmed if necessary to clear your exhaust (depending on the design), can possibly bent back into shape if you hit something, the strakes could be replaced via pop rivets if they were damaged beyond repair, and it's lighter than titanium.
Which reminds me. my biggest beef with most of the Evo diffusers is how the exhaust is handled. I hope you can come up with a neat solution! So far, the best idea I've seen is on SWOLN's car. It's the new Buschur design with a bullet muffler in place of the cat and no muffler in the rear.

the diffuser is aluminum for now, thing gauge, and the strakes are too, the final version may be carbon for our car, not production...
this year, cbrd will be doing many product developments that we never did before... evox exhausts, springs, stock location turbos etc... its just going to take us time...

Caleb and Mark do amazing jobs each day. Caleb is actually in charge of selling cars at CBRD, we have a bunch of evo IX's and STI's for sale... and some other bits... just sold an 07 997 GT3 and a Lotus Exige... etc... he does a great job of answering the phones and generally humoring everyone.
Mark has been my best friend for 20 years.....and has worked on the racing teams in ALMS, Star Mazda, SCCA etc...... he is fantastic... much of the work on the cars comes from him and I butting heads, then coming up with a proper solution...
Cheers
