i install them myself...
nothing is better than driving on a road trip and using anything u want to scrub the bugs off...
you can buy them reasonably now... and it saves our crappy mitsu paint.

I've used Starshield Armor on the last 4 cars I've owned and even after a couple of years they are yet to yellow on white paint. Even it were to yellow, the film is removeable and it's way cheaper than having to repaint the front end of your car after a couple of years from rock chips etc.

There is nothing to take a picture of, you can't even see it on the car
This film has a lifetime warranty against yellowing, cracking, and/or peeling, so if it does...no worries for me!

$805 for the hood, fenders, mirrors, headlights, and bumper. Yes, it was fairly expensive, but the fact it has a lifetime warranty instead of 3M's 1 year warranty made it worth the extra money to me.
About the wing, it doesn't really sound like the clear bra would prevent the clearcoat from fading. The installer and detailer and this shop said it would be a better use of money to just have it recleared with a higher quality than factory when/if it fades.

I got the 3M on my car and it's probably the best thing I've bought... 1 winter down without a single chip or scratch.
Not sure aboutthe 3M warranty thing.. my installer told me it had a life time warranty against peeling, fading etc.. he said the only thing that wasn't covered was if it tooks a huge rock and gashed the plastic or something like that.... I guess we'll find it out if i ever need to get it fixed.

clearbra yellowing dont occur on current versions of high quality materials. people who claim it yellows is really ignorant, they based their opinions on old believes they HEARD but never experienced themselves (or researched thoroughly).
its amazing how much protection it can provide and its difficult to spot. also it allows UV to go through so your paint does not fade differently then nonclearbra'd area. as for the wing, its not an area that gets hit w/ chips, i dont see ANY reason why you want to do it. also clearbra is very easy to install on noncurved surfaces. if you insist on clearbra on wing, do it yourself.
heres a few negative sides to it. first you have to be careful when you waxing as it can build up on the edges. second certain 'colored' wax can actually stain a clearbra, my installer told me from experience to stay away from colored wax. third if you have imperfection on paint, there is a chance you can polish it out if its minor but on clearbras, any imperfections from damage is there to stay until you peel it off.
