Finally a Wash & Wax
Finally a Wash & Wax
Well after a month+ of ovwnership and the paint finally reaching 90-days old my EVO got rained on so I was able to wash and wax it.
First off it was large rthan I thought. I'm used to 2-door cars so waxing a 4-door took a lot longer than I thought it would.
It came out nice....hard to tell in the photo becaus eo fthe fading light and the reflection on the shiny new wax.
I also added a ne BLACK dare license plate. In PA you can get a specialized DARE plate that is all black with white letters and a red logo. It's hard to see in the photo but it looks great on a Tarmac Evo.
I didn't use any special wax...still checking out Zaino and a few others. It's normal UV protectant Rain X Unltra shine paste wax.

Nothing looks better than black when it's clean...it looks even shinier in person but I'm sure you Tarmac owners know that.
I'm up more in the northeast....outside W-B/Scranton...about an hour north of Allentown. Locally I met a guy in a silver one. I guess he was one of the first locals. There's a Blue one that I saw at the dealer and then the owner featured it in one of our local newspapers. He was pretty embarassing...saying that if we had a 6-speed it would be good for 200 MPH. Not sure if he or the newspaper guy said it. We also had a yellow one that a 17 year old kid smacked up into a guardrail after he only had it a week or so.
The silver one frequent's one of our favorite bars so we have parked them next to each other....they look great. He hasn't done much, just pulle dthe lancer badge and looking into mudflaps. Of course black looks better...
The rest locally are on dealer lots...

I know of three Evo's in this area - people in Allentown aren't friendly, well, majority of them. The one EVO tried to race me too - how dumb was he - but I found out his GF is ****ing this kid I know......hahahahahahah I'm so mean
