Note, pic below has Rota P45R 18x9.5 +30 with Falken Azenis RT615 255/40 Tires. 8mm spacers in the front. Just wanted to give you guys an idea of what to expect out of this setup Coming to a car show and track near you (I wish).

It will work, but the whole point of going to 17x9 is to support wider tires.

However, if you simply want the concave look without dealing with wider tires to rub, then yes, you can run 235/45 over these

255/40/17 is probably the optimal tire size for this rim IMO
