Tarmac Black Paint......
All,
I have had my TB Evo IX MR for the past five months and already I am getting multiple scratches on the body's paint. Many of the scratches are extremely hard to see unless you are very close to the car. But regardless they annoy me. I have to park my car outside of work under a tree everyday so it shouldn't be surprising. But regardless, I have kept in mind by past posts that mitsu paint is super thin. Should I spray another coat of TB paint was a good clear coat to prevent getting scratches so easily? Are there some clear coats that are better than others?
Thanks
Ayrton

I would try not to park under a tree... you don't really have to worry around this time but in spring and summer sap becomes a huge PITA. Buff out the scratches that are present now and reclear if it bothers you that much. (it pains me too) not really sure about better clear coats... I would recomend calling up a local reputable shop and ask where they bring there cars or if they do ti themselves what clear they use. g/l
Thanks man....The first actually helpful post. I will be sure to look up any shops in my area, I thought about doing this before, but I did not want to look like a dumba$$. Anyway, I always end up parking under a tree since I come late to work and no one parks there.....

+2 on trying not top park under the tree. If they can buff out the only way to help prevent the scratches is to following correct washing procedures and watch where you park. Stuff can even be falling off the tree and hitting the car. As a fellow TB owner i can tell you keeping the scratches away is hard but can be done with preventative maintenance.

my TB paint obtains scratches by just looking at it. Unless you repaint, clear coat it, garage, cover and never drive it again, i'm sad to say it's not going to fix the impurities.
