I think that 5-6K can be spent on performance rather than painting the car.I think you would be much happier if your car was faster.

Silver isn't as noticeable, but still, BAD idea.

apex silver is not a pearl its 2 stage and even if you mixed the paint all at once the paint would still not match cuz of your passes with the gun will NOT be same as your other parts and will change the tint of the color ,theres a saying in paint work called paneled meaning the fender and hood where more then likly painted off the car.

[QUOTE=hokiruu;5098203]that is true, hoever, you can get House of Kolor results without spending HOK $. HOK is expensive and there are cheaper alternatives. Besides he is talking about going with Apex silver. Matching OEM is usually much cheaper than custom because the codes already exist, they just follow the formula, instead of mix, try, re-mix, re-try etc.

codes do already exist but there are color verents, there could be 3 or 4 apex silver verents....

u know what, for 6grand, I think ide def rather invest in performance. Embarassed to admit this but i didnt even really think of that. when i started this i was thinking it wasnt that much so when i heard it was more i just thought looks like im gonna have to save more $$$... didnt think of more useful things to spend it on.

But on that note, if its not really worth painting the car, why not just pay it off with the extra cash.

ugh why cant there just be some easier way to change the color of a car. if u just say u know i want to change my car color, it doesnt seem like it would be that much money, but when u actually think about it its rediculous with all the work involved!! When you decide to change the color of a room its not big deal thats prob why to me painting a car seems like a cheap job, although i know its not

HOME DEPOT FTW!

1: Spray Gun

2:Cheap Air Comp.

3:PAINT!

4:Sanding stuff

5:MEXICANS

Hire like 3 old mexicans to paint and another 3 to sand, pay them like $150 each plus food.
