New wing even out of warranty?

Just wondering if anyone has had their wing/spoiler replaced because of the clear coat issue after their warranty was expired? My warranty is expired and have heard that some dealers will replace this free of charge. Anyone?

I'm pretty sure mine was out of warranty. I think that gets covered under the body warranty that is 5 yrs. You should be good. Can't hurt to try.

Think I'll just have a body shop do it. HEard they try and give you a IX wing as a replacement. Screw that.

Actually kinda curious why they made the IX wings different. CF on the inner wing is hawt! Maybe they just wanted to go cheap...

They tried to give me a IX wing. I said no, I ended up waiting about a month for the new one. Well worth the wait, why would you want to pay if you can get it for free.

Yeah seriously. I only had my IX wing for a couple months then sold it and bought a VIII wing.

MUCH better quality and looks better IMO.

My guess is because they had to save some money somewhere since they gave the IX a bigger turbo, MIVEC, and a different interior.
