Anyone Paint rims and keep Polished lip?
Just wondering if anyone has done this, i noticed some of my paint on the stock rims flaked off where they mounted my tires and its pretty shinny and i though about either doing gunmetal or bronze and keeping the lip polished alluminum look. Anyone try this yet with pix?
I thought about doing it, but IMO the lip on the stock wheels is a little too small. I'm about to undertake the task of redoing my wheels a metallic gunmetal. Who knows, maybe I'll get ambitious and give it a shot. If I do, I'll post pics.

Here in a month or 2 once i get these few fallbacks settled out and try to find out whats up with my tax return I'll see about spraying them and we'll sell how it turns out i geuss.
I did mine in satin black powdercoat with a polished lip. It came out allright, but I'm about to redo them in bronze without a lip and dropping the car. 17" rims don't fill out as nicely with a lip IMO. They look a little small. Here's a pic.
