Official VOLTEX Picture Thread!
Ive been recently dissapointed by the low quality of these "ultra jdm" parts. Both items that i have recieved seem to be made of ultra flemsy frp and both were damaged during shipping. one of them (Garage HRS fenders) took more than two hours to fit them and they still dont fit very well. It seems like these jdm parts arent very well thought out, they just carry a lot of hype. In fact, the siebon fenders i have seen seem to be much higher quality than the garage hrs ones that i have seen...

All I know is that my Voltex front bumper, side skirts and even rear fenders seem excellent from a fittement standpoint. Still need to pick up my front fenders so no input there. I would'nt be surprised though if they end up being a PIA to install. Seems to come with the territory of heavily modifying the bodywork of pretty much any car.

Any body guy will tell you that once you start getting into fenders and such the process is not an exact science. Did you have a bodyshop install your fenders?

I was'nt trying to insinuate that he was. Just trying to point out that installs such as fenders can be very intensive and not to go and judge a "poor fitting" part as a MFG issue but to take a look at how the install was done first.
The HRS fenders are really hit or miss when you install these. But they do fit with some TLC
1) if you are going for the factory look, like our setup with no gap opening between fender and door hinges.. You will run into problems of lining up properly. It takes a lot of TLC in order to fit.
2) if you run the same setup as GarageHRS, Sun AUto and Eavsive, with a gap to allow turbulence to travel thru, then you shouldn't have problem installing it. Make sure you make removable brackets to allow fender/side skirt attachments.
Hope this helps out.

I understand the problem you are having, but this issue goes far beyond the quality of any part. I don't think anything could of withstood the abuse that went to your side steps, unless it were steel. I am still blown away at how the package was mishandled. You cannot relate that to the poor quality of any part. As for the HRS fenders, it is true, they are vert hard to install. But once they are secured properly, they fit just fine. I will try and have Cal from Speed Element chime in on this one to explain his first hand experiences with several of these fenders (installation-wise).

Sorry if that came off as directed towards you in any negative way. It was mearly stated to help clear the grey areas of the problem evobeatsti is having.

I like the HRS fenders and I continue to buy their products, BUT they really needed to do abetter job on the fenders... body lines are somewhat off or you can say it doesnt follow the cars body lines...
Most people try to cover up the BIG gap with graphics..etc (like I will be doing) on the fenders that do not bolt on to the side skirt.
I actually think the NEW VOLTEX front fenders look better since it has somewhat of a line and follows the body line alot better.
The bodyshop had to do some serious work to get the fitment right... but thats usually with most aftermarket kits...some more than others.
Also I agree they need to package the fenders alot better, my complaint a long time ago (not with you guys) was the fenders should have more bubble wrap...
My fenders came in with the tip of the fender broken off, cost me an extra $175 to fix and prep.
Not jumping on the bandwagon or bashing... but some statements made are true.
But I continue to support the HRS/ Voltex team
i dont doubt that, i was just putting in input from personal experience, i think i was more dissapointed with the fenders than the sideskirts as the damage is definately from shipping.
right.
I have fit these with a stock like fit pretty well but i have had problems with them being too bulky up around the mirror area making it hard to put the plastic covers back on, and beyond that they are just rough from the factory around the whole fender...

Evobeatsti hey man when I come up to get those wheels I will take a look at your fenders and side skirts. I have messed around a bit on mine, too they do need a bit more work to make perfect but I will do that when I have time. I did go to Auto body repair for school so I no a bit and some trick of how to install them. Carbon fiber/ fiber glass doors are the same way. My Seibon carbon hood was the worst part i got. the hood is like a 1/3rd of a inch to short on one side
