Good job! i tried the testors paint and it turned out okay but i wasn't happy with it and ended up selling them on ebay and buying actual 7 lights. but your's look good enough to keep!

did you sand them first? if not, i would worry about it peeling, chipping off, or fading. Actually, with Krylon, i would worry about it fading period.

nope but I wipe it off with some Z14 then rubbing alcohol. Its not gonna chip. Just dont put to thick at one coating.

Do you think they will last against the elements being painted on the outside instead of the inside? How many coats did you use?

dude it only cost $7.88 a can! I can repaint them anytime.

looks good. i also switched the turn signal harness/bulb w/ the backup harness/bulb so that when i put in reverse it lights up white. pretty simple, just notch the bulb base and they can be switched.

Those look great! I want to paint my tails too but I think I'm going to crack them open and paint them from the inside.

As for whoever asked what the can looked like, here it is. I got mine at Michaels Crafts. It wasn't on the big paint aisle, it was on the glass aisle. I almost didn't find it because I'm a quitter!!!
