The point of the thread was that I did not spend a lot of money......did all of the work myself.....and I like the way it looks and how it improves the functionality of my ride.

I thought the Intake / drop in filter was a good add performance wise....same with the braces and the tires....I made the grounding kit my self for less than $20.

While the car is still under warrantee, I am not putting lots of money into mods that will void that warrantee.

I plan to do the exhaust, lower the ride hight, and possibly a new rear sway bar next.

I am not a track star....I drive this car for fun as an extra vehicle.
Props to you on that my friend, and I see where you are coming from. Not everyone wants a track star car, nor wants to be the next paul walker or vin diesel in F&F 16. Im in the same boat as you, only my car is my DD for the time being. Nothing at all wrong with having an all-around car, meaning it looks good with clean and subtle aesthetic mods inside and out, and with some slight power mods. I plan on sticking with my stock turbo for a good while and just doing little things here and there to give me a little more power, and I am sure there are people on here that just cant see mto grasp that concept either. Good on you and great job thus-far with your ride

SICK SPEED, I'm just wondering why you went with the Greddy front tower brace and not a Cusco one like the rear? Car looks really good though.

For the guy who said, "I have to get a rear strut brace!!!" We don't have rear struts, therefore, that mod is 100% useless unless you need to hang things in your trunk.
do you just hate life or everyone in general? ive noticed you post alot of stupid arrogant ****....are you not getting laid or something? having a mid life crisis? wtf is it? ****ing christ dont say **** if you're gonna be a ***** about it

Well, on the surface that looks like a decent argument until you get down to the facts:

1) You did the work yourself? Well, yeah, there really was no work involved in any of those mods, so I'd hope so.
2) You did not improve the functionality of your ride one bit.
3) Good add performance wise? 3whp maybe for the filter maybe
4) The braces do absolutely nothing. That's hundreds of dollars of nothing except impressing the ricers who frequent Evo Show & Shine and other ignorant people who may see the parts in person and think they actually help.
5) Ok, you made your own grounding kit, but it's useless and only clutters the engine bay. Congrats?
6) Your planned mods blow the warranty away while adding minimal power and minimal handling improvements - possible even a handling decrease depending on which pieces you get and how far you "lower the ride height." So, you end up with no warranty and over $1000 spent to gain nothing except some props in Evo Show & Shine
7) 99% of Evo owners are not track stars, but they don't blow their money on useless trinkets under the guise of "not being a track star." Believe me, I KNOW you're not a "track star" based on the mods you've already done and plan to do - that was obvious.
8) If you're rich enough for an Evo to be an "extra vehicle," then why would you put useless trinkets on it and act like you're worried about the warranty. Major inconsistencies in your story there...

Imagine what you could have accomplished with the same money spent if you did a tune with ecu-controlled boost and just a downpipe and test pipe. That's maybe $500 and 50whp with a stock-appearing, stock-sounding Evo instead of a "look at my ricer trinkets that do nothing" Evo.

I got both parts used and at differnet times.....I would have gone with Cusco up front if I had to do it again........the aluminum portion of the braces are really nice on both, but the steel end plates are of better quaility on the Cusco one in the rear......the Greddy end plates started to corrode....and hence the reason why I powder coated the ends.

Warrtalon,

I am sorry that I have apparently offended you.....please forgive my ignorance

.....you make it difficult at times to enjoy this forum.....not just for me, but to others as well......

....you know......if you don't have something good to say........

Did you paint/powercoat your Ralliart radiator panel? It looks like it matches the valve cover much more than mine does. Just curious, thanks!

While it's a touch too much red for me, it looks really nice and damn clean.

The Ralliart radiator shroud is the factory finish red - it does not match as well as it looks in the photo......but its close.

yeah - it's a lot of red......but I like the way it looks......it just kinda EVOlved!
