tint in chicago not a good match... i got couple tickets for that

 

yeah, the tint laws in illinois/chicago are retarded. nothing on the front windows, anything goes on the rear/back, which gives you a nice unbalanced look (like an suv). Most people seem to f-it and tint all windows and take the risk.

I, on the other hand, am a wuss. so i have 35 on rear/back windows and nothing up front and I think it looks fairly good. 3m scotch-tint color-stable works well

Did you get pulled over for these??? Cause I live outside Chicago... I do go into town from time to time but never park in public areas...
I still think Im gonna get 25% all around. Any opinions on a tint strip on the front window?

 

limo tints??? lmao **** in jersey the cops will shoot if they see that

 

if your going to tint your windows go limo or go home why settle for light if u get pulled over anyways ....might as well get pulled over for limo in the 1st place ....

 

Just got mine done 2 weeks ago. 20% all the way around. Place called Shades Of Gray. $180 for everything, they look great. They had a printer that cut out the tint, AMAZING machine. Very fast and turned out great.

why u guys keep posting pics on 3 "or more" tinted window threads ?

 

see the good thing about 3M is you can peel it right off.. i got pulled over while back and the cop said take a ticket or peel it off right here. you can peel 3M off right there and it will leave no glue residue at all. take it back the next day and get it redone.

i got a lifetime warranty as well on discoloration and what notu guys . and if i have to peel it i get it done under the warranty.

if you guys can find a shop that will do that for ya then go with the 5%. looks good man let me tell ya........LOL

 

I dont see any guys from cali. Man I dont see any guys risking dark tints..

 

Don't know exact percentage, as I bought the car with the tint. I'd say 20% most likely.

 

Do you mind me asking how much you paid to get it done? Does it come with a lifetime warranty? Did you have to drop off your car or were you able to wait as NB is a little bit of a hike for me...And for the record I believe anything under 35% is illegal in MA. I feel like if I am going to bother getting it done I would want a little darker than 35% however the last thing I need is another excuse for a cop to pull me over.

 

20% As much as i like it, im thinking of ripping it off. Having the windows crystal clear is real nice too.

I have 5% on the sides and rear window. AND THEN half my front windshield is 5% and the rest is 20%

 

30% up front and 5% in the rear and back window.. which makes the fronts look darker then what they really are but wont get me any tint tickets... so i win
