wow, I'm a seibon costumer for life now.. that's amazing that they are that honest, they could have easily lied and gotten the sale

(for the record, I know that you have to retrofit the grill from the oem hood into the seibon one)

+1 for seibon

so you need to ask someone if a aftermarket 'OEM fitment panel' fits an aftermarket 'OEM-style' CF hood?

didnt you just answer you own question??

You would think so. But as I have found out, no, the mounting points are not there.

u'r email was BULL, if its OEM style then your ralliart vent will fit.

Yep. I am making it all up, because I have nothing better to do. Ask someone who has one, and see if the OEM hood vent fits. People have already told me that it doesn't.

I just read up on this and YEP.. I was about to post quickly that the mounting points are not there.

And that the SEIBON OEM STYLE HOOD has nothing OEM but the looks in comparison to the stock hood.

Lesson learned, not just cuz its OEM it means its OEM specific.. good job CANMAN

they were honest with you man. they didn't guarantee it would fit, they just don't know. Lack of customer service would be not responding to you and selling their product to you and don't care if it works or not. Most of us would wish we could get this type of customer service. Unfortunately for most us we got burned at some point in time. Can't blame you if you want to make sure the product fits but I don't think this is a case of bad customer service.

Don't get me wrong here, I am not knocking Seibon's quality--I have their carbon trunk and it fits beautifully. I just think that their customer support needs some work.
im going to have to argee with that, im not gonna dump say $600 to 700 dollars on something that i dont know will fit another part i own. they could have at least tried to find out what was up with it and told him ya know. you figure as much as seibon charges for their parts they would have some better costumer service. i myself dont own any seibon products but after hearing this crap plus how their trunks and hoods tend to fade quickly i think ill try another company before them

And how would they have found this out? By having to go and get the ralliart part and test-fitting it themselves no doubt? So then going forward would they have to do that for all combinations of vents?

Yes, they could have called around and found a customer with a simliar setup but any real business won't trust that information from a customer unless they installed it themselves since they would be putting their reputation on the line.
