Help paint and body guys!!!
I went to a body shop to get a quote on how much it would be to re-clear the top of my spoiler. They want 180 bucks which I think is a little high and may be able to get a used one with no peeling for less than that, but they said the cloudiness could not be fixed as it was actually in the carbon fiber. I think they are trying to BS me and wanted a second opinion. Heres a pic:

Thanks in advance!

Mine did the same thing I sanded the clear off and re cleared it. Its UV damage to the clear coat that the factory put on it. I just cleared the top of mine. Any price over $100 is to much.

Thanks for the info. I thought they were BS'ing me. I'm heavily considering doing it myself, but if I can get another shop to do it for 100 or less Ill just have them do it. Really glad to know that the haze will go away.
check this thread out if you wanna do it yourself....guys wing was worse then yours and it now looks new.

well they are BSing you in the fact that nothing is wrong with the carbon fiber yet. mine was actually peeling off, and the cf was still good...got it replaced by the dealer, not repaired though. Take it to your local dealer and see if they'll do a "good will" replacement. Its a common problem so you might have some luck with it. If they say no, go from there.
$200 is too much but a normal estimate for a big name shop.
try the dealer and see what they'll say.
If they cant do anything for you then you can do it yourself or go to a couple of shop for better pricing.
