To remove, you could use fishing line or dental floss and a hair dryer. Any left over can be removed with googone or something like that.
As for the adhesive 3M makes a double sided sticky tape.

Okay I fied my crooked MR badge issue, but I'm not satisfied with the outcome.
First, I floss-sawed off the MR (UK) badge. Then using goo-gone and my fingernails I got rig of the goop looking stuff that was on the badge. Whatever it is that is on those UK badges (from lancershop), it's not a tape it is some kind of sticky adhesive.
I then put the MR badge on the 3M tape, and cut around the badge with surgical precision. Once it was ready, I relocated where I wanted the badge and put it on the car....straight this time.
However I'm not too satisfied with the outcome. The 3M tape is pretty thick and brings the badge that much further off the face of the car. I liked the way the original badge adhesive looked/applied, and now I'm trying to figure out what substance it is on the back of those UK badges that is just the sticky adhesive, without the bulkiness of tape.
Thanks

If you end up having to replace the whole badge, go to www.evasivemotorsports.com because they sell the badge for $55 shipped, as compared to lancershop's $80 something plus shipping.
