microfiber towels--how do you get rid of the lint?

Guys,

I don't want to throw out my microfiber towels but one thing I can;t get rid of it the lint on the towels...you know the kind that gets stuck and have to pull off by hand. Is there a better way to do this so that I can avoid scratching up my car with these towels?

Incorrect sir :P. I work for a Commercial cleaning company. We use microfiber towels for 90% of our cleaning. Throw them in the washer and dry them on knits/blends and they will come out 100% almost new

I put mine in the dryer and the microfiber towel came out weird so it left swirl marks. My friends does detailing business and they go through like 5-6 dozen a week and they told me its the best way to dry them. That's all... but thanks for the info

oh for sure, hehe. Just put them on LOW settings in the dryer and they should be fine.

also agree with you.

leaving them outside makes them like hard and rough.

put them *****es in the dryer on light heat mode or whatever it is. put a softener in there too. damn yo. there ready to sleep with there so soft and smooth. and they work great again.

also the softener helps keep them static free so they dont feel like sticky/rough.

Well, microfiber cloths are supposed to feel like that. The static electricity helps catch all the loose lint and fibers that your other towels leave behind. So, NEVER use fabric softener on microfiber cloths.

lotta different info in here.
^^ is right. The static helps trap loose dirt in the fibers so that as your cleaning the car it lifts the dirt away and doesnt scratch the car. Supposed to be coupled with something like soap and water or detailing spray when wiping dirt. Not supposed to just rub the car down w/o lubrication.
