these wheels on a evo??
Those are the wheels I had on my WRX, and they were frigging great! According to one of the members, "Value", the SSR type C he sells, is basically the same wheel as the US designation SSR Comp, only they are available in the correct offset for the EVO.
The US market SSR "comps" sold by Tire Rack and others, by comparison to the SSR "type C", require spacers for correct brake clearance from what I hear. You may want to confirm this with your wheel source, otherwise you may be in for an added cost (set of 2 H&R precision spacers are around $80-100) and headache you were'nt planning for.
Strong and lightweight (13lbs for 17"), but not quite as expensive as some of the other high-end JDM type wheels, the SSR's are still a very worthy wheel for the EVO for sure!!!

BTW- FYI :I paid about $385 a wheel with lugs and caps, a couple of years back from Vivid Racing. Total cost with shipping was right around $1,600. That was an excellent price back then, and I am sure they have only gotten more expensive. Nonetheless, it never hurts to shop the market for the best price...and fit!

I spoke with my wheel guy and the price im getting them for includes the installation kit and spacers for these wheels.. So all in all this sounds like a good deal then?
I agree with most on this posting. I really have yet to see an aftermarket that is superior (in terms of weight and performance) to the stock Enkei's. I'm not sure why you have to differentiate yourself from other Evo owners out there. We already drive an uncommon special edition car! (flame coming)
