ok so i just got off the phone with criag at ATL and they make a replacement fuel cell for the stock saddle tank, only problem is the lead time...... 8 weeks, and by the time you get all the bells and whistles (carbon fiber cover, sending unit, replace the pumps and AN lines (again) were looking at about 14,xxx and some change.

booo to expensive.......

so we decided to go with there wheel well tank, part # 171110 22 inch diamater by 8 inches deep with a capacity of 12 gallons.

price without the carbon cover is a bit under 500 dollars, that was a relief, should be here begining of next week.

and of course there will be pictures!!!!

this is tommy p's car, sn - ferrakid (spelling) he has the red standing mile evo that ams is building.

iam trying to get ahold of him to figure out who made the x brace that holds it down. AMS told me that he had a friend make it for him. if so, thats a very talented friend. and i would really like one.

and heres some from that car for sale right now in NYC

You can also go to a nice surge tank setup w/o doing a cell.. Still fill from the stock location, gauges work like normal, and never worry about fuel slosh..

yeah i thought that would be a good option as well but at this point with the car being at the point it is it doesn't make sense to not do a fuel cell. pluss there are so many pros in my application to dropping the tank vs. cons.

i also dont have the o.e.m cluster any more so i dont need a sending unit/fuel gauge at all.

WHat lines are on the surge tank? feed from tank, return line and a line going back to the tank to prevent over filling? I like this idea, but would there be a problem with running out of fuel if you went wide open for too long?

I made over 900 Wheel HP on the fullblown dual walbro setup with slightly modded walbro pumps. The fullblown stuff is pretty good.

So many options when it comes to fuel setups. The dual setups seem to be the ticket for most peoples needs!
