Thanks.
building one is the only legal way to have a early evo in the states. The few real early evos here are not titled the right way and if found out they will be taken from the owners.
I do have a lot of money in to the car but most of it is building it after the car was running and driving.

Any updates!?
Awesome build! I've often dreamt of cutting up my evo6 in order to make a street legal evo6 out of a mirage! There are 2 converted mirages in Puerto Rico, but Evo IIs, not 3s.
Nice work!

took the engine harness out so I can take it all apart and shorten up wires and reloom the full thing and get it tucked. Also got the engine bay harness out so I can get the other one that I took all the extra wiring out of that was not needed. One of the nuts came off the front bumper bracket and had to cut a hole in the frame rail to get the bumper off the car.
started on the right side of the engine bay. Took out the cusco brake stop bracket, brake booster, clutch master, line and slave.
Then I went after the body glue with the torch and then the wire wheel to get the car ready to seam weld the car to make it stiffer. Also wire wheeled all the bolt holes that are not need on the frame rail.

Work was slow to day so we looked through the aircraft alum and s.s. Scrap bins and got some 6061 alum and found a few 10am fittings for a oil catch can. Also got some 304 half hard s.s. To make a battery box. We finished up the oil catch can to night and got the battery box all bent up just have to Finnish it up tomorrow. It needs the ends and to be tiged.
Here is the new oil catch can two 10am in and a 10am drain line. Just have to get craig to get me a pair of k&n breather filters for v8 valve cover. An drill the holes in the top for them.
