As far as your question goes, there is at least 1 "how to" somewhere around here...do a search. Everyone that has repaired the clear themselves did not take apart the wing, from what i've seen anyway. Good luck with it

 

You could just tape off the painted portion of the wing, scuff the cf and rattle can clear it.

 

my personal opinion would be stay off the evo wing, but hey... I think anyone can do whatever they like on their car, if you like it just be happy and get your wing... you shouldnt care about things people on a forum tell you... DONT WORRY BE HAPPY

I found this post when I was trying to find out how to get rid of my wing. I like the go not the show. IMO by all means put the wing on. That way the cops will be looking at your car when I blow by.

^sorry, it's just that we've all had some terrible looking lancers with evo parts plastered on them drive around us and flash their hazard signals... then beep... then wave... then make us want to laugh and boost away into the sunset...

Oh and to the ppl that acctually helped thanks for the info the whole reason for this is the clear coat was pretty messed up so while I sanded it nd clear it I didn't want to touch the ends but ill just have to mask it off
