Blacked out Evo IX (Updated 9/16)
New new update in Post 160.
New pics in Post 97. Some people requested some pictures and I finally got around to posting them.
Here is my blacked out Evo. I have touched everything you can on the outside. A friend (Rob aka badstainless) and I did all the work. Thanks again Rob for helping me out.
Here is the list of mods:
15% window tint all around
Black wheels-black engine enamel spray paint
Black brake calipers with white lettering-Caliper paint kit (I do not recommend this. It started coming off after about 2 months). The lettering was done using a reverse vinyl stencil and then painting it with white engine enamel.
Black head lights-Used the online DIY. I also removed the amber inserts.
Black stock intercooler-I used Radiator Black from Eastwood
Black Mitsu symbol-painted flat surface and left outside edges chrome
Blacked out tail lights-used VHT Nightshades from eBay
Blacked out side markers-VHT Nightshades again (it took maybe 45 minutes to mask the fronts, remove the backs, and paint them all).
Faux Carbon Fiber Evolution IX badge-eBay
Black muffler
Black valve cover
Black exhaust shield
I also removed the Mitsubishi and Evolution MR badges from the trunk
Here are some pics taken by badstainless using a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi. These were taken in Deep Ellum in Dallas:

Other mods:
Swift Springs, Hawk HPS brake pads, Orbital Double Din with AVIC-D3, JL Audio 12W7 sub with JL Audio 500x1 amp(removable for weight savings), Hallman MBC, K&N air filter, eBay exhaust, battery relocation kit with Yellow Top, Perrin Shorty Antenna.
KevinD tuned the car and it is making about 315whp and 310ft-lb of torque.
Blacking out the interior is my next task.
