My take on the wingless trend.......
I'm not a big Show & Shine guy but here's the rarely seen Rexpeed Type - 1 trunk spoiler.
Fitment is perfect, the paint was an excellent match, and it looks so subtle.

And the crappiest pic of the car (I wasn't the photographer, and it's my cousin's first SLR).

.As you said "elusive" is probably not the right word; it implies something hard to obtain.
"Rare" would be the better word to use since I haven't seen too many (maybe 1 or 2) Type - 1's on the forum. I have not seen any on the road or at meets.
I've seen plenty of the Type - C's.

The only problem I had with the spoiler was that the OEM
diamond, if placed in the factory location, infringes on the lip spoiler.I measured the length at about 3/4".
Basically, the diamond emblem has to be placed 3/4" lower (unless you want to trim the spoiler).
But as you can see, it's not too noticable.
Rexpeed is a great company.
I rock this spoiler as well.

and btw.....anyone who says an evo is not an evo without a wing is silly. I will put my car "as is" next to any stock evo with a wing and I promise it's more aggresive looking without the bench on the trunk.
