anyone have windshield tint?

Hey guys who out there has there front windshield tinted? I currently have 35% on front and rear windows and 20% on rear windshield, but im considering getting 20% on side windows and maybe 50% on windshield, or maybe even 35%(but probably not since jersey cops SUCK). Let me know how it is at night and how much its helped with the sun, etc.

Post pics if you got em!

I would recommend getting no tint on the front windshield. Its illegal and just downright dangerous for driving. But if you absolutely must have something, 70% is the darkest I'd go.

I think the guy above me has it backwards. The number represents how much UVA/UVB is let through.

I have 20%.

my friend has 50% on the front and you can tell its there but it keeps his car ALOT cooler because it blocks out the sun, and cops have no idea you have it, i even know a cop who has a dodge ram with 50% tint on the front!!!

Mine is 15% all around w/ 35% on the windshield. I've been driving w/ the same setup on my Accord for 6 years so I'm used to it. I've been pulled over a few times in the Accord w/ no mention of the tint, and pulled over once in the Evo specifically for tint (no ticket). The cop even mentioned it looked so dark (this was at night) he thought my front windshield was tinted, but he had no way of testing. It's not really that noticeable during the day. I couldn't tell you how much difference it made w/ the sun or anything, since I've never had a tinted car w/o the windshield done too. The back windshield is way more of a problem for me at night, but I suck in reverse anyway.

Weve got 45% on ours. It sure keeps the car cool in the summer. All of our vehicles are like that.

I wouldn't do it. My buddy had his front windshield done and it always looked hazy while you were driving. I'd rather be safe than have it look cool. I even sat in a car once that had 5% on his windshield. It was a car stereo competition car. Holy crap was it dark inside. Good thing he didn't actually drive it.

i rock 20% on front sidewindows, double 20% on rear windows and have a 8" tint banner on the windshield. its not bad, at night its hard to see with windows up out the sides. from the outside you can see through the tint but only if sunlight is shining through windshield or if i have the sunroof open. i would tint the rest of my windshield around 60-70%. it would get the rest of the interior dark enough, help lower dashboard glare, also lower incar temp. im pretty sure ill be happy with that. its all about your preference. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE MORE PICTURES OF TINTED EVOS
