i am going to install lambodoors and suicide doors to my evo.

anyone done this?

I purchased the kit from www.LamboDoors.com

I am thinking of having 1 lambo door and 1 suicide door.

 

Try it out i think i m gonning to do that to my 350z if i get it next summer 350z looks **** with it not sure about lancer-evo. Whats the difference between lambo and suicide doors?

 

maybe 5-10lbs

I dont want to add a bodykit and leave myself open for the Police to pull me over...

funny you should say that your doing that.. my firends and i were just talking about putting lambo doors on an evo.. wondering how it would look. we came to the conclusion that it only really looks cool on two door cars.. might be kinda odd on an evo.. but whatever floats your boat man.. its your car.. be sure to post lots of pix when its done! i def wanna see the results!

 

if you're planning a showcar probably that would look different but asking the the performance minded people about this GOODLUCK!! im not hating or anything but i side towards performance,but hey its what u want to do.enjoy!!

 

Is Lambo Door just a generic term for doors that pivot up and forward, like on Lamborghinis? I've never heard of anything like suicide doors either... I don't even have a guess for those.

But you know what would be badass? Quad-gullwing EVO.

::edit:: I checked out the site and I guess I was right on the Lambo Doors. But still, what's a suicide door?

Suicide doors are like the doors on the RX8.

 

Specifically, the rear doors... to be clear.

Having Lambo doors on any car that isn't a Lambo is pointless and childish. I guess if you are 14 or 15 years old, it might be cool, but that is about it....

Maybe you should just make your Evo a convertible while you are at it? Paint it pink with chrome dubs, a bodykit, and neon lights too?

 

suicide doors would open from where the hinges are now... they open backwards and usually without doorhandles.. looks good on OLD Ford cars and stuff, like from the 1960-70's but I dont think it would look good on a 4door sedan... personal opinion... plus spending cash like that on a performance car and not adding more performance is like going out to a shoe store and buying penny loafers to go jogging in

leave the sedan door mods to the 4-door civics!!!

 

His car, his choice. Personally I think it would look awful on this car as well, but I'm not the one who's gotta be seen in the car.

 

It might look good on 350z but I don't think on EVO like other said unless it is a showcar

 

please be careful, if someone hits you in a side collision...expect your door to fall off...you to get seriously injured...and your insurance company tell you to screw yourself... Maybe im a bit cautious, but be careful
