Evo sitting next to new toy
We live off of Sandridge. Not too sure what this area looked like 10 years ago, but now it's a very quiet family neighborhood.
The housing market around here is great though. The houses here sell within a week. The house we live in now wasn't even on the market 24 hours when we bought it.
Not too sure where Bear Creek is. I'm going to make an assumption that you were a Marine. What other reason would anyone be in an area like this (not talking about Hubert because it's actually pretty nice, but Jacksonville SUCKS!!!)
?Only problem with living around here is half your friends are Marines. Not that that's bad, but when they all EAS they go home.
And I agree with the people saying that the auto sucks (as far as fun factor is concerned). That's why it's going to have a 6-spd very soon. It will probably be ordered on Monday. When you switch over you have to replace the tranny, driveshaft, the left axle and the differential. Not only is the tranny pricey but so is the differential!! We are gonna do the swap here to try to save some green cause the parts alone will probably cost $4-5k EASY!!
i have an auto TT Supra (stock turbo) and it still fun....trust me. Gonna put the Turbonetics GT-K based turbo on soon as i finish my evo, that will be fun.
i was thinking about selling my evo and getting a supra but i just couldn't do it. if i find the right one i might just suck it up and buy it and keep the evo. Good luck w/ the project
No, it's a real TT. There is a black NA sitting in the garage right now waiting on the new alternator and starter to go in it. Then it's going to be sold. He doesn't have much interest in that car anymore since he got the TT.
The Supra engine is bulletproof. It can hold SO much power without touching it. And getting the car to around the 400whp range is pretty damn easy. The only problem with Supras are the parts are EXPENSIVE!!!
The other project we're about to start is swapping in the drivetrain and interior of a newer WRX into his 99 Impreza. If we can get a wrecked STi for a good price then we will probaby go that route. Should be pretty quick considering the huge weight difference!!
That's a nice looking Supra.
Nothing THAT wrong with automatics besides not liking them at all. This car isn't going to be a drag only car and he definitely want's to enjoy the drive more.....hence, 6-spd!
We are trying to decide whether or not to pick up some ported stock twins or a pair of T-28's relatively soon.

lol. Your brother would love a 6spd and a single T-67 turbo kit. IMO that's one of the best street turbos for a supra, many like the 71mm as well since it still spools fairly quick and delivers some heavy power. I'm pretty big into Supras since I used to have one and I'll probably buy another once I'm through tinkering with my evo.
