shaved and wrinkle black.... i have the spark plug cover also shaved and is painted java black to match my intercooler piping

I used an air sander with a heavy aggressive disc to remove the ridges. It took maybe 20 minutes. Stripping the anodized finish takes a long time though. Use a paint that's made for plastic on the cover. Testors model paint has worked well for me in the past, but after a year or two it starts losing color because of the heat under the hood.

I think it's kind of funny how so many people go with wrinkle black. At work we spray every mass produced OEM part we make with it because it's bland enough to blend in and it hides metallic imperfections well. It's kind of our "just get it done cheap" powder option, but here it's unique.
